Cypriot MP about the Actions of Azerbaijan: “It is an Obvious Terrorism”
1 / 5

On April 23, the MP of the House of Representatives of Cyprus, Head of the Cypriot Delegation to OSCE PA Sophoclis Fittis and the MP of Hellenic Parliament, Deputy Chairman of Greece-Armenia Friendship Group Antonis Balomenakis, who arrived in Armenia to take part in the Second Global Forum Against the Crime of Genocide, visited Yerablur Pantheon. The RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov accompanied them.

The MPs paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan at the beginning of April.

Familiarizing with the details of the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan Antonis Balomenakis has noted that every military action that passes the border of the international law is barbarism and is condemnable.

Sophoclis Fittis in his interview to the journalists noted: “We and Armenians have common history and a common enemy coming from old times, and that is Turkey. We have a very bad neighbour, but we should make efforts to overcome all the difficulties and prosper our Motherland.”

Talking about the inhumane actions and tortures committed towards the civilians by Azerbaijan, Mr Fittis has noted that it is a genocidal policy and obvious terrorism.

“As you know, the Republic of Cyprus officially declared that it condemned Azerbaijan and called on the international community to contribute to the settlement of that issue,” said the Cypriot MP.
